Happy Computer Science Education Week!
This week, December 4 – 10, classrooms all over are the globe are celebrating Computer Science Education Week and Hour of Code. Join in the fun with these five great resources.
- Tynker Hour of Code Activities – From Barbie to dragons, to Hot Wheels to Peep, Tynker has over 30 coding project for your students.
- CS Unplugged – No computers? No problem. CS Unplugged has activities for you. No computer required.
- Scratch and Scratch Jr. – Pong, storytelling, and more. Something for students of all ages.
- Flocabulary – They have teamed up with Code.org and are providing free access to tech and engineering videos through Dec 10th.
- Reading List for Robots from BirdBrain Technologies – The people who have brought you the Finch Robot and Humming Bird Robotics kit complied a great list of books. Couple of my favorites: Best Practices in Spell Design and Wild Robot.
Bonus – I’d also add books and resources by Kiki Prottsman.
