Hi, everyone! I’m Kristin. Otherwise known as Hot Pink Tech.
I am a former Industrial Engineer and professional photographer who has made the switch to higher education. For over 18 years my passion has been to help teachers become fearless with technology and explore new teaching and learning strategies. Lately, my focus has been on hands-on and fun ways to teach science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) in the K-12 classroom. I am a lover of books and obsesser of pop-culture, sci-fi, cosplay, steampunk, and unicorns. I also have the pleasure of being married to my high school sweetheart and mom to two amazing young adults. All three keep me on my toes with their wit and sarcasm.
I write about education, leadership, ed tech tools, great books, and other stuff I find cool and interesting.

I’ve been asked – “Why Hot Pink Tech?” Well, life is fantastic when you look at it through hot pink glasses.
You can also find me with other geeky greatness as a past contributor to the Coaching for Geeks blog.
Oh yeah – I may work at NIU STEAM at Northern Illinois University but the views and opinions expressed on this blog are my own.
